DAZL Empire Freestyle & Competition Training Programme  

The DAZL Empire Freestyle & Competition Training Programme is aimed at dancers who wish to take their dancing a little more seriously and take part in competitions and examinations.

 

Examinations

The various competition training programme compete at the NCDTA and other competitions. They all take part in compulsory NCDTA examinations Annually.

 

Competitions

The competition training programmes have a commitment of 2-4 competitions each year in a variety of styles/ genres such as contemporary, freestyle, hip-hop and cheerdance

The groups compete at Urban Cheer UK competitions a minimum of 1 per year these are generally 1-day events, also the Momentum Contemporary Championship, Stand Out UK Streetdance. The DAZL Empire Freestyle programme is part of the ADFP which requires a larger commitment of a minimum of 10 competitions per year.

Each DAZL Empire Competition Training Programme group will take part in compulsory community fundraising to support the running of the competition teams.

Some DAZL Empire groups will do some fun competitions or the Freestyle may do The Association of Dance & Freestyle Professionals – ADFP competitions but this is down to each group and the level of commitment or what is agreed upon by that group. We are all one community competition team but each group or area may have different needs and wants and we are happy to help meet them. The minimum requirement is the NCDTA Examinations, NCDTA Conference and those ADFP dancers the Freestyle championship.. along with one Urban Cheer dance competition per year.

 

Where are the groups based?

The Community competition teams are based in Middleton, Belle Isle, Bramley, Tingley, Farnley and Batley. The offers in styles for the DAZL Empire community competition teams are Cheerdance, Urban Cheer Competitions, Streetdance, Freestyle and Acro.

 

Who is it for?

We offer competitions for 5-11yrs, 12-15 years, 16yrs+ and then a Parent/ Adult Team and an Inclusive Dance offer for those young people or young adults with a physical or learning disability.
