DAZL Community Groups Events (June-August 2017)

Connecting with communities is at the heart of everything we as an organisation do, so performing and engaging with communities through celebrating the young peoples achievements is essential. please see the full listings below.

DAZL at ICE Spring Thaw Out 2017

On Sunday 14th May 2017 Dance Action Zone Leeds (DAZL) took 120 dancers from Inner South, Inner East and Outer South Areas of Leeds and over 200 parents to the ICE Championships in Sheffield. The competition featured division in Cheerdance, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Contemporary with groups from across the north of England and the Midlands.

We were so impressed with all the talent and the standard of the young dancers, DAZL took home 7 1st Place Trophies, the title of Hip-Hop Grand Champions, Cheerdance Grand Champions, The Sportsmanship Award and Also a special award for DAZL Director Ian Rodley. We couldn’t be more proud of all the families, Coach’s and dancers who have worked so hard in rehearsals, community fundraising events and showcases.

• Grand Champions Hiphop – Highest Scoring Hip-Hop routine of championships, DAZL Seniors
• Sportsmanship Award 2017 – Special award for supporting other teams, encourging other and showcasing good sportsmanship.
• DAZL Director Ian Rodley Special Award and Mention from the ICE Championships. Inspiring, Supporting and Encouraging hundreds of individuals, dancers and coaches.

Again we are so proud of each and everyone of all the dancers, parents and coaches. We couldn’t have achieved any of this without them and feedback from the other organisations, dance schools has been wonderful.
