DAZL, NSCD & Phoenix Dance, Boys Dance Partnership
DAZL, NSCD, AND Phoenix Dance have partnered up to create a Leeds Male Youth Dance Company (12-19 years), With all organisations passionate about boys accessing dance we have pulled resources together to become a hub for boys to dance in Leeds. The project had its first intensive on Tuesday 30th May to Fri 3rd June 2016, 1- 4pm – with a sharing at the end of the 4 day at NSCD.
The lads got to work with artist Donald Edwards and NSCD 3rd Degree Student & DAZL
Artist Mason Jubb, The lads come from across the city who attend not only the 3 partner organisations groups but also Leeds City Collage. There is a vision to also add Yorkshire Dance, Leeds City Collage and RJC Dance into the mix so this program become an offer for all lads in the city and beyond.
The next stages will be another intensive in October then 
weekly classes for the group which include technique and also creative work. The boys will showcase this work at DAZL, NSCD, Phoenix Dance Platforms and are open for invite to others.
