Annual Public Health Excellence Awards
The DAZL Director Ian Rodley with Public Health Minister MP Jane Ellison been recognised for Excellence In Public Health at the Annual celebration event in Westminster, London. DAZL strongly belives that its wonderful how dance can be at the forefront of improving the populations physical and mental health, reducing health inequalities and supporting rehabilitation of falls, this list could go on and on.
Professor Kevin Fenton and Health & Well-being Leader at Public Health England and Jan Burkhardt – Leeds Public Health/ Dance & Health Specialist and Founder of DAZL both stated that dance is a fantastic way of improving the populations physical & mental health and well-being and DAZL’s work is an innovative way of doing this.
Ian was nominated by Dr Ian Cameron – Director of Public Health, Leeds City Council stating “Ian;s passion and commitment is above and beyond. With just a small team of dance leaders, he delivers an extensive community dance program that enhances the lives of thousands of children and families.”
