DAZL today had the privilege to perform at the years Celebrating Social work conference, the DAZL diamonds entertained the delegates at the conference which was also supported by Child Friendly Leeds.

Massive Well Done to the DAZL Junior Dance Company – were all so proud of you for your performance of “Neon Lungs” at the West Yorkshire Playhouse on Saturday. We would also like to congratulate Phoenix Youth Academy and Street Beads, Doncaster for getting through to represent Yorkshire in Nottingham part of U:Dance 2014.

Middleton Park Dance Day

Dance Action Zone Leeds, The Northern Ballet, Supreme Starlets and Friends of Middleton Park present

The Middleton Park Dance Day 2013

What a FANTASTIC day on Sunday 18th August, DAZL hosted a dany of dance down at Middleton Park. The event was run by our very own Dance Leaders and future freelance artists. The Middleton park dance day was a mini festival giving DAZL community groups, DAZL diamonds, Supreme Starlets and other outside dance organization such as Northern Ballet theatre and also our #ashtag project that is funded by Leeds city council to come together and showcase our work.

Performances showcased throughout the day, as well as dance workshops, DAZL donated the taking from the raffel to local group Supreme Starlet, over 200 dancers took part with over 400 supporters.

The Northern Ballet added an extra buzz with there three little pigs workshops and lots of prizes for the children to take away – I hope everyone from DAZL will be down supporting the Northern Ballet at The Hunslet Club x

A massive well done to the DAZL Boys and a big thank you to Youth Dance England for inviting us to perform at the pop-up events in The Light and Trinity Shopping Centre and The West Yorkshire Playhouse.
The DAZL Boys really went down a storm and the talent was amazing from all the other groups from across the UK, fantastic opportunity for all involved and a really well organised and diverse programme.

DAZL on BBC Drama – The Syndicate

DAZL Back on BBC!

DAZL Dancers will be featured on this weeks episode of the hit BBC Drama the Syndicate, written by the amazing Kay Mellor.DAZL worked with STREET DANCE the movie star and lead actress Nichola Burley on the opening scene. The DAZL dancers will be featured as part of Nichola’s (screen name Bethany ) street dance crew.  Choreography by DAZL Artistic Director Ian Rodley.

The Episode airs Tuesday 2nd April 2013, 9pm on BBC 1.
