DAZLÂ Director Ian Rodley last night won the award for Community Arts Person of The Year at the Flybe Community Awards. Ian and the work carried out by the Dance Action Zone Leeds team was recognized and they made specific comment to all the support and development that the young people from the most deprived areas of the city received from DAZL. The DAZL boys crowned best act in Leeds 2009 Please click on the blue link for full story on the event – DAZL Boys win Barclay live 2009 as Europe’s first only all Male Cheerdance Team. The lads went away with a plaque and £1000 to help them get to the BCA International Cheerdance Championships at The Rico Arena, Coventry to compete against some of the best Cheerdance teams from across the world.
